Robert Fischer

"As a result of his long career and distinguished record of service, Robert Fischer, newly retired Executive Director of the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority, is being honored with a 2020 Life Member Award. Robert served the Authority as an Executive Director for 17 years, and has worked in the wastewater industry for 38 years. For more than half that time, over 20 years in all, he has been a member of the Association of Environmental Authorities, including serving on its Board of Directors since 2015 and as a Chair and Participant in the Ocean Dischargers Committee. Bob has also served many Associations and Committees, including Chairman of Long-Range Planning Committee at the New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA), Delegate at Large for  Water Environment Federation (WEF), Chairman of the NJ Utility Authority Joint Insurance Fund (NJUAJIF), and was the President of the NJWEA from 2012 to 2014. Throughout his career, Mr. Fischer earned admiration and the utmost respect of his peers, policymakers, and associations for his dedication, enthusiasm, professionalism, sense of humor and tireless work and involvement in legislation and other issues. For his many contributions to the industry, Robert Fischer’s lifetime of work is recognized with this Life Member Award.”
